Maura Carley MPH, CIC, Founder and President, has extensive background in healthcare. She started Healthcare Navigation, LLC, in 1999 after years of executive management experience in various healthcare organizations.

Carley is also the author of Health Insurance: Navigating Traps and Gaps, which became Amazon’s #1 best seller on health insurance shortly after its publication in 2012 and was awarded the Living Now Book award in 2015.

Before founding Healthcare Navigation, Carley served as the Vice President of Operations for the Northeast Region of a physician practice management company which provided services to over 200 physicians in 45 offices throughout the New York metropolitan area.

Prior to that position, Carley served as Regional Director for Kaiser Permanente, one of the nation’s oldest and largest health maintenance organization. She began her career in hospital administration at Yale-New Haven Hospital and later served as a Vice President at Stamford Hospital.
